One month and a baby later....

Excuse my absence everyone! (If anyone does read my blog).  I was confident I would make it to the last day of school (June 6) since my due date was June 8, but Sunday, June 1st I found myself in the hospital in labor.  Monday, June 2, my husband and I witnessed the birth of our sweet baby girl Leia Rose.  We are filled with joy and the last month has been an adventure.

Due to this blessing, I missed the last week of school where I was going to finally get to do some crafty activities.  I found myself emotional that I couldn't say good bye to my class and encourage them to READ READ READ over the summer!

I did one activity that I was thrilled turned out so great. My students made self-portraits of themselves graduating and then wrote what they were proud of learning! They turned out super cute if I do say so myself!

 

 

Today our Summer Dayschool program starts at our church.  I have been in charge of it the last couple years, but had to forfeit because I'm taking care of my little girl.  However, I am going over for a couple hours this afternoon to help with the instruction portion of the day.  We are going to go to the public library and pick out books.  Then we are going to play an assortment of math games.  I will try to get some pictures and post them.  I will be working on some other centers this summer to add to my repertoire.  If you haven't, please check out my TPT site!
